Protecting our air and water goes hand in hand with pipeline safety as the Railroad Commission works to protect the safety of our citizens.

The Texas economy can and will continue to grow without comprising our demand for clean air and water. Texans shouldn't have to make a choice between having enough energy to meet our needs and enough clean water and air to survive and thrive. Current and emerging technologies and methods of exploration allow us to explore for energy, obtain the necessary energy sources and return the explored area back to its original condition, or in some cases better condition.

Policies and regulations to protect our air and water are necessary, but we must evaluate which are necessary and which are simply burdensome and excessive. We can and will protect our natural resources while maintaining a vibrant economy and creating jobs.
