I would like to thank the Texas Oil and Gas Association (TXOGA) PAC for their recent endorsement of my campaign for Texas Railroad Commissioner. I’m truly humbled by the support of an association whose more than 2,000 members represent roughly 92% of all oil and natural gas produced in our State. As a commissioner, I look forward to working with groups like TXOGA to ensure the Texas energy industry continues providing safe, clean and affordable energy. I applaud TXOGA for leading the fight against the EPA and Washington D.C.’s failed attempts to force harmful policy such as cap and trade that seek only to damage the energy industry in Texas. As a small business man and CPA, I have seen firsthand how detrimental overregulation and taxation can be. Texas is the nation’s leader in energy production, thanks in part to organizations like TXOGA for their good work on behalf of the industry. As the oldest and largest organization in the state representing petroleum interests, TXOGA continues to serve as the only organization in the state which embraces all segments of this industry. Along with executives from the State’s 50 largest energy companies, their membership includes independent oil and gas producers, oil and gas producing and purchasing companies, refining companies, marketing companies, drilling contractors, land men, lease brokers, geologists, consulting engineers, royalty owners, pipe line companies and contractors, transportation companies, carbon black companies, geophysical companies, equipment and supply firms, well servicing contractors, oil and gas tax attorneys, insurance companies, banks, and others interested in promoting the welfare of the industry. Founded in 1919, it is the oldest and largest organization in the state representing petroleum interests and continues to serve as the only organization in the state which embraces all segments of this industry. Thank you again for your support. I look forward to getting to work for you on the Texas Railroad Commission. |
